Notes:

On 28 February 1880, the Yokohama Specie Bank was created in Japan. [J01 p53]

In Singapore ?

By 1919 they had 5 branches in the Straits Settlements and Austrailia. [T03 p118]

During WWII the Yokohama Specie Bank served as the official bank of Japan. The bank ceased operations when Japan surrendered in 1945. [J01 p54]

In July 1946 the Government of Occupation instructed the YSB to liquidate itself. [T03 p187 ]

After reorganizing, on 1 June 1947, the YSB became The Bank of Tokyo, Ltd. [J01 p54]

Yokohama Specie Bank on Kling Street in Singapore used PERFINs from 1928 to the occupation. [G01]
