Founded 2 March 1840 by Armenian Aristarkies Sarkies and his nephew, Catchick Moses ([W4]

Aristarchus (sic) Sarkies, has come to Singapore in 1820 and began business on his own account on 1 August 1828. [B05p345]

Importers / exporters of gold dust from Pahang, opium, tin, pepper, foodstuffs, textiles etc. [W4]

Represented a number on Indian based insurance companies. Ventured into real estate [W4]

Represented the Siam Steamship line and were agents for the Apcar steamship line [W4]

Aristarchus Sarkies arrived in 1820 and Catchick in 1828, serving five years with Boustead, Schwabe and Co. (he died on 2 October 1892 at age 80). [B05p345]

Aristarkies Sarkies died 8 March 1841 at age 65 and was burried in Singapore. [H02p16+241] [B05p345]
