G.A. Reme, a German, established firm of Reme & Co. in 1858 [H06p405]
In 1861, J. Levenson joined as partner and the firm became known as Reme Levenson & Co. in 1862. Both men had been clerks for the German firm of Apel & Co. which had been established in 1845. [REF: see MSC newsletter #4 (July/August) 1992 (Whole N0. 120 p. 5)]
The firm became Reme Bros. in 1868. [H06p405]
One of the smaller German firms. It closed in 1880. [H06p405]
