"... it opened in Singapore 7 July 1891, and represented at that time four coal mines. Post-war it was doing business generally described as 'shipping, insurance, agents' and had come to represent 15 different coal sources. It operated out of 1, Battery Road, Singapore. [John Wilson, Sept. 2009]
