Notes:

  • First traded under the style of Hieber, Katz and Company, est. 1864, became Katz Brothers the following year. Hermann Katz left the East in 1873, when August Huttenbach joined the firm. Other partners included Max Behr, died 1886, and Meyer Behr, who withdrew in 1888. In 1897 the firm became a limited liability company. Its new building on Raffles Square was completed in 1912.
