Thus far H. C. Rautenberg has been found as a Forwarding Agent marking. This was most likely Henry Charles Rautenberg of Hamburg who along with Frederick George Schmidt, also of Hamburg, formed on 21 April 1849 the firm of Rautenberg, Schmidt and Company in Singapore. [W05p672] [L02 table C]
On 17 April 1851 Mr. Rautenberg drowned in a squall of off Singapore. [W05p676] Thus his Forwarding Agency likely did not survive beyond this date.
