Over the next years the EAC founded six subsidiary shipping companies. One of these was the Siam Steam Navigation Co. It operated from 1908 to 1941, when it was acquired by the Thai Government and became the Thai Navigation Co.

In 1969, due to the increased popularity of air travel, passenger sailings were discontinued.

Today (2006) the EAC Group is comprised of three companies: EAC Foods, Industrial Ingredients and EAC Moving & Relocation Services. EAC employs 12,500 people worldwide in 40 countries over 4 continents.
