Notes:

On 15 May 1889, the Deutsche-Asiatische Bank opens its head office in Shanghai. [W05,p141] [J01, p50]

In May 1906, they opened a branch in Singapore. [W05,p141]

They were known in the stock market as “Asiatenbank.”

During in WW I and WWII the bank was severely affected and had to discontinue operations.

In 1972 tThe Deutsche-Asiatische Bank was merged into the Europäisch-Asiatische Bank.

In 1977 the name of the bank was anglicised to European Asian Bank.

In 1986 it changed its name to Deutsche Bank (Asia).

In 1987 it was merged into the Deutsche Bank.
