Founded in 1830, in Penang by A. A. Anthony.
Exporters of local produce to Calcutta as well as growing nutmegs and coconuts.
In the late 1800's they were general merchants and agents for shipping and insurance firms.
In 1905, J. M. Anthony and A. F. Gore Anderson founded Anthony and Anderson. They were share and exchange brokers. Business was conducted on the premises of A. A. Anthony.
Over time, A. A. Anthony divested itself of all its other business such that by 1960 they were strictly stockbrokers.
In November 1990, A. A. Anthony & Co. Sdn. Bhd. was sold to Mr. Lim Tiong Chin and partners.
On 30 August 2001, A. A. Anthony & Company Sdn. Bhd. became an indirect subsidiary of Dynamic Pearl Sdn. Bhd.
On 24 August 2002, A. A. Anthony & Co. Sdn. Bhd. merged with JB Securities Sdn. Bhd. and became A. A. Anthony Securities Sdn. Bhd.
